Beacuse it is solid wood your darts are very well protected and simply slide into the holder. didn't really know what to think when my wife bought me this as a surprise. turns out its an excellent dart case. holds your darts full assembled so you don' have to worry about getting them ready before a match. probably one of the best gifts my wifes ever given me.
